This converted mansion house had been a residential care home for some years before it was bought by Kingdom Homes in 1998. The Victorian frontage and a modern extension blend beautifully with comfort and care coming together to ensure that residents can really feel at home. Craigie House can cater for 30 residents in large single occupancy accommodation, with the majority of bedrooms offering en-suite toilet and shower facilities.

During a major refurbishment programme in 2007 Craigie was fitted with a direct-dial telephone system with itemised billing, swing-free door closers linked to the fire detection system and a sprinkler system was installed to all areas of the home. These upgrades underline the priority that Kingdom Homes Ltd place on the safety of each and every resident in its care.

Craigie's upper floor areas can be accessed by lift while the lounges and dining rooms are on the ground floor along with access to landscaped garden areas where residents can take a stroll or simply sit and enjoy the fresh air and flowers.

Although sitting at the heart of Crossgates, the predominantly rural setting of Craigie House does not distance it from the many attractions of the surrounding towns like Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy.

With regular outings to the shops, shows and other places of interest on the company's minibus there is always plenty to do - including a very busy schedule of events from exercise classes to reminiscence sessions and games, with inter-home competitions a regular and popular feature on the Craigie calendar.

Kingdom Homes also run a number of residents clubs including a car club, wildlife club, photography club and a creative writing group to name but a few. Residents from all eight care homes in the group may attend these clubs should they choose to do so.
